The Bagged Lives
I recently (in the last 24 hours to be exact) started watching Monk/Office/Clue on my DS. I could have done so all this while, but never really gave it much thought... until the boy with the PSP started watching stuff on his (bleargh) machine.
The peniru in me awoken.
And so I started on a quest to convert my already awesome machine into a super duper awesome movie playing machine.
And I've succeeded.
HURRAY!!!
Yeah screen IS a little small, but I'm not complaining.
Now storage becomes an issue. I want to carry my favorite stuff in the SD card, but only so much can fit in a 2gb card.
Solution: time to upgrade to a bigger card.
New problem: cards bigger than 2gb (ie. 4gb and so on) are now (almost) all SDHC.
So what is the big deal?
The big deal is... that.....
MY R4 isn't friggin compatible with SDHC's!!!

Spent half of the day on DealExtreme (site for gadgets. Free shipping worldwide tau?) looking through the looooong list of ds cards.
It would be just great if I could own a Cyclo DS Revolution. Now these are (currently) the best cards money can buy.
Problem is, it just takes TOO MUCH money to buy em. $50++ to be exact.
In comes the cheaper alternatives:
Now these are a whole lot more affordable (for me). They are as equally SDHC compatible, which is pretty much all I'm looking for right now since all I wanna do is expand my memory from 2gb to... say... 8gb.
And what shall befall my R4 and 2gb cards? They'd be exclusively used for games. The new one is for media.
All cards seem to be moonshell compatible (media player for ds) -though not all are preloaded with it (a problem which a simple download will solve)- but unfortunately, I am the sort of ds-idiot who still can't figure out, even if my life depended on it, how to use the moonshell. HAH HAH HAH.
So I currently rely on DSVideo. Which is pretty awesome in my book (after I figured out how to convert .avi's to .dsv's that is)
I'm leaning towards the cheapest of the lot, the DSTT, because if I'm gonna settle for a cheaper card, I might as well get the cheapest of the lot. Plus it's white, it'll flush in completely with my machine. Unfortunately... DSVideo patching for DSTT, EDGE, and EZFlash V+ .IS.NOT.AVAILABLE.YET.
DSVideo will not work with DSTT, EDGE or EZFlash V+. Although there IS a patched version for acekard2, but that is untested. Takut.
If I get any of the cheaper cards I won't be able to use DSVideo. It would defeat the entire purpose of buying a new card. *SIGH*
Time to go to plan B.

Also went through the accessories section. Will buy the white USB power cable. $1.97 sahaja. Tak payah angkut charger lagi.
Also want to buy a bag for my ds, this one in particular:
It will hold the machine, a charger, usb cables, game/flash/SD cards, rumble paks, etc; and is less than $6 free shipping worldwide. No brainer eh? HIT BUY!
But which color?
I like the white one, but I'm gonna have to wash it often to keep it white. That's quite a hassle. The pink one will match my ds, (but then again, my ds is pink on the outside white on the inside - both white and pink will match) but I own quite a lot of pink things already. Time to shake it up a bit. While the green one actually looks nice, I already carry quite a lot of green in my bag (chicken/puffer, one up, glasses case, dogtown journal). Variety is the spice of life.
Shall we go with the blue? um.....
Nah. I think I'll stick with the white. LOL.
Kalau ada lilac/purple bagus jugak!

Cram cream cases are adorable jugak, and while there ARE some adorable ones on eBay, I'm trying hard not to look at them so much because I'm trying not to buy them. Sebab tidak mahu dibelenggu kemiskinan.
Their prints are so devilicious!!!

It seems that people use em to store their digicams or ipods. I have neither. So what will I use it for...?
