The Out Of Reach Truth
The truth is, I have written and rewritten this entry a number of times. Each time I click the discard button rather than the publish post button. I am getting too old to write here.
The truth is, I'm leaving. In about three weeks. Adios.
I got a job in Beijing and just signed a 2 year contract with CRI. I report for duty middle of September.
I have yet to decide what goes with me and... *weeps* what gets left behind.
The truth is, I love taking pictures and I love cameras and I'm having so much trouble deciding which is my absolute most favorite camera of all... *SIGH*
The truth is, I felt like smacking Jason real hard after watching Under The Red Hood. How dare he do that to his (awesome and handsome) father???!!!
Smack him!!!
The truth is, I have no idea where to find 100% cotton denim anymore - at least none with a flattering cut. Everything that looks nice either has spandex or elastane or lycra or some other stretchy material in them that might as well be rubber.
Stretchy clothes make me itch. I have no idea why, it's one of those mysteries I have yet to get to the bottom of, but the point is, I only wear cotton denims. And they're starting to become extinct.
The truth is, these things would make me a much much happier person, but let's face it, they're pretty cliche and quite hard to gift
1. Rainbows
2. Snow
3. Furry mammals
4. Batman
5. World peace
So instead let's go through the list of things that would make me materialistically happy.
1.A rainbow camera strap for my new ancient slr
2.A camera bag for my new ancient slr
3. Timbuk2 backpack. Sorry Sammy, time to move away from black backpacks
4. New earphones because the one I have now is dead in one ear
5. A violet Baekgaard mini card case to replace the coral one I have that's about to die out on me
6. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Naturals in Medium
7.Selsun (yellow bottle) it's the ONLY shampoo I can use
8. Straight cut dark wash 100% cotton jeans
9.Cotton pants. In brown and navy blue
10. A boyfriend blazer because I do not have boyfriends who I can steal blazers from
11. Canvas fluorescent yellow belt with eyelets punched into them
12. Black chucks. Or dark grey. OMG I can't decide!
13. A pretty Starbucks tumbler. Ask me which one
14. Waterproof (transparent) Otterboxes to keep my toys tidy
15. A 2010/2011 18-month planner
16.Paint brushes. Or even better, waterbrushes
17. Watercolour sketchbooks. Because I ran out
18.And regular sketchbooks. Because I will run out
19. The Winsor & Newton Bijou Box. Because I'm jaded HAHA
20.Derwent Aquatone solid watercolour sticks
21.Pencil wrap/roll. Because my pencils won't fit in the tackle box that I use as my pen/pencil holder
22. Turqoise Western Digital Passport. We'll discuss the GBs later
23. A digital alarm clock which also doubles as an ipod dock/speaker
24. An Instax mini polaroid camera!!!
25. Money. In Dollar, Ringgit or Renminbi
The ones in bold are desperately needed/wanted.
In case you can't think of any occasion that could warrant this enormous wishlist, it's my congratulations, farewell, birthday, eid, eid again, xmas and new years list all rolled into one.
The truth is, I have been eating less and less and then less still. The less I eat, the less hungry I get. The less hungry I am the less I eat. It's a vicious cycle that has led to me losing almost 10lbs in just 10 days. Which is almost 10% of my total body weight. Now there's a bunch of tens.
The truth is, I don't know why I still write here... because I know nobody reads this blog anymore. Maybe it's the whole needing an outlet where one can bitch and whine while still remaining (mostly) anonymous, I don't know.
