The Out Of Reach Adobe

I still have no Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. It's driving me nuts. I've been drawing everything on paper. Though I admit it's still the best way to draw, my scanner is not on speaking terms with this new computer, so there's no way for me to transfer my work onto my computer.

*sigh*

I refuse to pay for the real thing because I don't think they're worth that much, and quite frankly, how can I be expected to afford them?

If only I had the time to go hunting for pirated CS5 cds.

*sigh*

I tried to install from a downloaded file, they wanted the product key which was conveniently missing from from the bunch of downloaded files. I tried to install a trial version of Photoshop CS5, they wouldn't let me install it in English.

Since me no habla Espanol, or Dutch or anything other than English, I gave up.

Look, our government finds that I am a person of good conduct. It says so right here.

If only they knew. HAHAHA

About six weeks ago I found it harder and harder to read anything as the day progresses. Meaning after lunch every day my eyesight would start to deteriorate. I thought I'd needed a new prescription for my glasses, so I went to get my eyes tested.

The opticians, obviously wanting to sell new glasses to me, told me that I needed new glasses. No surprise there.

I went to an eye clinic soon after for a second opinion.

The findings were rather shocking! I DIDN'T NEED NEW GLASSES.

My inability to read after lunch is due to my eyes being tired and strained, yes, but not because my current pair of glasses were unable to correct my eyesight. Rather it's because I had extremely, extremely dry eyes.

The eye clinic prescribed me with two kinds of foul tasting antibiotic eyedrops to be instilled 4 times a day. This would, after a few months, help solve my dry eyes problem. It turns out my persistent dry eyes are the result of allergies - in fact the eye doctor insists that it was a long-term exposure to the allergens that triggered the reaction.

Along with that he also gave me eyedrops containing hyaluronic acid to moisturize my eyes while the allergies are being cleared. It takes about 3 months to clear infected glands, it turns out. So while the medicine is doing it's work from the inside, this other drop will work on the outside.

Hyaluronic acid. LOL. That's the same stuff in the lotion I use to moisturize my face!

Now, after six weeks of treatment, I can now read until about... 4 in the evening.

And by read I don't mean a book in a well lit room. I talking about the plates on that car right in front of our car. Or the giant billboard across the street.

I wonder if Superman, with his microwave vision and all, suffers from eye fatigue from time to time?

I sent my F55 in for repairs. Nikon quoted me RM1,229.00. It costs less than RM120.00 to just buy a new used body (in pristine condition) from eBay.

Why don't I just buy a brand new body? Well, the F55 was last made in 2002. I think it's fair to conclude that it'd be impossible to find one still in the box eight years later. This is, after all, the digital age.

I seem to remember promising pictures from my trip to the bird park and the zoo.

Three best pictures from the zoo are here:

Yes, there were superheroes at the national zoo! LOL

The ones from the bird park will come later. But I promise NO superheroes.

Okay, the giraffe picture made me hungry.

Time for nutella covered bananas.
