"Do we live in the physical world that we touch, or do we live in the world we create in our minds...?"

Okay, I'm too slow. Sorry.

Yes. I liked the movie.
No. I didn't download it for him.
Yes. I know it's an adaptation.
No. I'm not going to watch the original.
Yes. I get what she had to go through.
No. He doesn't exist in the real world.

*SIGH*

Which of our friends are our real friends?

This year I have been without two of my closest friends. One I got to say goodbye to. The other I did not.

I'm thankful for the little that I have left, because though little, they're good.

I'm just scared shitless by the alarming rate at which the pool is shrinking.

I can no longer imagine myself wear black and white for the rest of my life.

Do I start over, or do I just... deal with it?

It's been crazy with rain lately and the wooden doors in my house have expanded from the cold and damp.

Fused doors now create a need for battering rams.

It's no secret that Asians are so obsessed with whitening products.

Just pick any brand, chances are it'll have at least one whitening line. Olay in Asia in fact, has a total of FOUR whitening lines. Let's see if I can get them all here. Total White. White Radiance. White Radiance CelLucent™ Fairness. Natural White.

Seriously? Isn't THIS a form of discrimination too? I won't have any of it, and this is why I no longer shop for toiletries in the real world.

Setting aside the whole argument against white being radiant and beautiful, I'm just concerned about the lack of concern on UV damage.

What with our skyrocketing UV index, I think melanoma should always trump over superficial concerns... like employing a rosy-pink complexion to bag a guy.

We shouldn't be trying to change the color of our skin. We should be trying to protect it.

I'm Asian left and right, and from that I inherited a light tan.

I put on sunblock religiously, even when I'm going to be indoors all day (computer screens emit radiation too) And I'm forever on the hunt for THE PERFECT physical sunblock to use on my face. There are so many things my skin does not tolerate so hunting is actually a lot harder than it sounds.

Asians brands do not make it easier for me.

When will people realize that rubbing on a whitening cream with SPF24 will do no good in the long run...? Especially if the SPF is from a chemical sunscreen.

Come on people, slather on zinc oxides!

Domesticated guinea pigs are, well, as their name should tell you, domesticated - meaning they do not exist in the wild.

These adorable little creatins are mutations of wild guinea pigs (which look more like prairie dogs) The greatest evidence of their genetic engineering and enhancement can be seen in their multitude of fur color and texture.

Why oh why then, was this engineered??!?!?!?!

The skinny, naked guinea pig.

Lord forgive us all.
