The Final Word
Yep, I am in KL.
And much to people's dismay, I returned unannounced. LOL.
LLB results came out today.
Actually the results themselves came out last night on the internet - for those who were able to use the londonexternal link. What came out today were the result slips.
Let's see. Between road trips and flying across the continent, between getting the heart broken and sick and poisoned and hospitalized, I pulled through.
Now I can attach three more alphabets behind my name and say "Take that UoL!!!"
I think ATC is pretty desperate nak pancing orang suruh buat CLP. Every time a person walked into the hall to get his/her results, he/she would be met by a panel of persons eager to explain the merits of enrolling with ATC.
Haha.
Every single person received a mini lecture about the possibilities the future hold.
Haha.
I walked in, held up my hand and said
"I have no intentions to ever practice."
The panel was stunned.
"In fact I'm going to teach. Not practice."
And I escaped the room with my result slip minus the lecture. Yes folks, that's how it's done.
So what am I going to do next?
I don't know. First thing's first, study and sit for the TOEFL. My new best friend is a 2lb textbook.
Then what? Go back to school and get my second degree of course. Well it's either that or do the CLP. Haha.
Evidently I'm not the sort of person who does well in written exams. I don't ever finish at the top of the class, and unlike a certain sibling, am not sought after because of a couple of degrees that glow so brightly it puts the sun to shame.
But. I've never completed anything before in my entire life. Ever. Not even once. Twice an art-school drop out, I am anything BUT hardworking and persistent.
What kind of results could a person who texts friends in lectures, plays nintendo under her desk in class, sketches on textbook pages and never passes up assignments expect? Not a second class honours obviously.
I did it for four years, the longest time I've committed myself to anything. I wanted to give up so many times, both on the subject as well as on myself, but I didn't. Now I'm done. Come December 1st, I graduate. With honours.
Passing all the papers was a blessing. Getting decent results was a miracle. Having a few of my lecturers offering to write cover letters/letters of recommendation was icing on the cake.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
For now I'm going to enjoy whatever youth I still have left. If you just know you're going to be working for the rest of your life, why rush into it?
But I do need to figure out what to do with my time. You know you're lame when you start drawing the air-conditioning remote control and plug-points and sockets...

...and your mobile.

And this.

Those of you who work with 3D Max and Autocad and such who were about to dis my oh-so-simple drawings, please shut up. I'm a law major for God's sake...
Wait, a law graduate. LOL.
Who would've thought?

AJ Redmusketeer, LLB (Hons)
And I humbly bow down to He that be.
Yes folks, that's how it's done.
