你好.
Ah, finally the God of Internet opens the doors of Blogger to me...
But I have nothing earth shattering to write about. The God of Irony at play.
How long have I been here? Almost four weeks now. I know this because my Visa is about to expire this weekend which means I must make my way all the way to the upper East side of town (big big town people - by train it'll take about an hour) on Friday.
I don't want to get kicked out before the Olympics now.
How often in one's lifetime that one gets to live 8 minutes away from a stadium hosting a world class event?
Well not that often. I think.
WOOT. The Wukesong Indoor Stadium.

LESS THAN 30 DAYS TO GO.
STEP IT UP ZHONGGUORENs!!!
I did go to a few interesting places:
THE EARTHQUAKE EXHIBITION
AT THE MILITARY MUSEUM

Great night, but unfortunately most of the pictures they put on show were only mildly disturbing. I went with the expectation of seeing severed limbs and dismembered parts... oh well. Not everyone is as savage as I.
Model of the site of The Quake
Some of the survivors. The Quake did hit Panda county unfortunately.
Food was a problem

I don't need to put pictures of rubbles now do I? Just google them up. Sorry about the piss poor quality, remember I'm someone who's too broke to buy a camera, and too lazy to steal one.
I found Staples.

Went to IKEA (宜家家居). Twice.

Bought creatures such as:

Seriously, I paid the same amount in RMB as I would have in RM. That means pretty much everything is at half price. Seriously. I'm going back there for more. The octopus? The sea turtle? The grossly-misshaped-hippo?
And have shopped at 2 out of the 3 WALMARTS we have in town.
What can I say, I'm a pretty unconventional tourist.

On a good day, it's not too hot or too stuffy or too rainy or too windy or too dusty. But I've learnt; good days are hard to come by. Most of the time, one of these things will try to cause an average citizen's demise: the rain, the wind, the dust storm, the blazing heat, old men falling off of bicycles onto you while you cross the road. If you're above average unlucky, it could be a combination of those things.
But on a good day... it's all good.

Summer here is pretty much like KL, only multiply the uncomfortableness. My skin is all blotchy. I blame the water, the air, and every single thing that makes up this continent. I haven't been able to figure out how my skin can be extremely dry (I'm talking flakes resembling cornflakes) and oily at the same time. Gila aku.
And my hair, I bet there's now more of em in the trash cans than on my head. Lagi gila aku.
On coming here, I went through all the trouble of packing light, and because of that I am now suffering.
What I SHOULD have brought with me:
1. Colored pencils. Bagaimana nak mewarna kehidupan?
2. PAINT PALETTE. AGH. Gilakah aku??!!
3. A lipstick. Aku tak bawak sebatang pun?!
4. Sliper Jepun. Sini China, bukan Jepun ya
5. Epilator. I hate being furry. Beruang jadian
Aku rindu makhluk busuk ni.

I don't exactly know when I'll be back in KL. So long as they'll allow me to keep extending my Visa, I think I'll be staying here in this red flagged territory.
Though... I do have to be back for my results... hmph. Maybe I can get someone to dress up as me and pick them up for a nominal sum?
Okay, we'll cross that one when we come to it.
For now...
