The Pinch Felt

Well my dad had a cataract removed from one eye about a week ago. I've been put in charge of the eye drops and medications.

Apparently, this is how a typical cataract surgery is done:

Would you believe he has never before, in his entire 58 years of living, applied eyedrops to his own eyes?

I just found out about it after the surgery.
And I've been the one dropping them in for the whole week.

Mind you, that's eight times a day. On the first day (the day of the surgery itself) it was once every single hour! Imagine how insane it drove the both of us...

Hmmm. But I do make a good nurse. I should consider taking my first aid exams again. My cert's expired years ago. LOL.

The eye clinic we all go to. It started with my brother, then me, then my dad, and maybe in the future, my mom.

Goh LH will be able to retire very soon.

Next door is a dental surgeon.

Read his name: Wong Foot Meow.

FOOT?

MEOW???

Mesti surgeon ni kaki kucing.

On the other side is a heart specialist.

D. Quek.

He's not just a quack, he's
The Quack???!!

Just imagine how much fun it was walking down that particular lane.

A few doors down was the clinic where I was born, more than 20 years ago. My dad and I did step in and asked if the doctor was still there.

He still is. He's 71 years old. And still well.

I have no pictures of the clinic (even if I did I wouldn't want to post one here :P) but believe me, they kept records of birth all the way from the year 1972.

We asked to see mine.
They have it.

I was a vacuum baby.

There was a display of fireworks in the city last Friday night. I didn't learn what the occasion was.

Doesn't really matter I suppose.

Pardon the pathetic state of the shots, that's just what you get when you snap a megapixel phone through a closed, tinted hotel room window.

Is it so close to Christmas already?

Decorations are up everywhere in the city now. Christmas makes me hungry in strange ways.

For some weird reason I feel like eating up this tree.

This tree was from last Christmas, and I felt like eating it up as well.

Even the school lobby is clad in shiny things.

But the tree looks pathetic, I won't ever feel like eating it.

As promised to someone, here is the awaited screen capture.

To those who have no idea what this is about, Indah is Mathew's wife's name.

We (women) are always on the look out for men who would devote themselves to their significant other.

Unfortunately, men like Mathew are mostly already married, and the single ones are... well, probably on the verge of extinction, if not already extinct.

*SIGH*

*SIGH*

Apa boleh buat...
